Disney World Day 3 (Part 2): Magic Kingdom continued

After naps and being rejoined by Ryan and Randy, it was back to the Magic Kingdom.

We were running late for our dinner reservations, but of course we had to make time for pictures in front of the castle:

While we waited to go in for dinner, the boys had fun watching some ducks.

 

 

 

Finally it was time for dinner at Crystal Palace with Pooh and his friends. Given our previous experiences meeting characters, you can imagine how well that went...

At the very end, Reid got brave enough to give Pooh a high-five and some knuckles:
 

 

After dinner it was time for Mickey's Christmas Party, and since it required special passes, it meant that none of the rides had lines! We recovered from the Pooh trauma with The Little Mermaid ride...

 

... and another spin on the teacups...

... followed by a little racing:

They liked the cars so much that this is what happened when they had to get out:

Then we did two turns on what ended up being their very favorite ride of all, the 1980s-era People Mover. It was also the first time they wore their ears for any length of time:

Finally, we hit Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and that was the end of the rides.

At that point it was almost bedtime but we wanted to catch a few minutes of the Christmas parade, so we staked out a spot on Main Street and waited.

Honey bought the boys these Mickey toys that light up and spin around, and that helped pass the time... until one of them got caught in my hair and we spent 10 minutes working to untangle it!

It was a pretty great way to spend our last evening at Disney... together as a family, no lines, and lots of smiles.
