Playground fun

To conclude our fun, easy weekend, after the boys got tired of digging on Sunday, we loaded them up on their bikes and pushed them to the playground that's just a 5-minute walk from our house. The weather was so beautiful, and they had a great time playing.

They have gotten so fearless--there's no stairs they won't climb, no tunnel they won't crawl through, and no slide they won't go down.

The only thing on the playground that scares them is the swings. They love sitting in our laps and swinging with us, but if we better not even think about putting them in the toddler swings--that sets off all manner of hysterics!

It really was such a sweet, easy weekend... as was this last one, which I'll write about this week. With two two-year-olds, sweet and easy is something we don't take for granted! 

Digging new things

Ryan was still feeling under the weather last Sunday, so we stayed home from church and instead opted for some fresh air. We gave the boys some sand pails and shovels and they went to town in one of the front flower beds.

They sat happily and dug for a good 30 minutes--laughing out loud when the wind would blow their hair.

There really is nothing more precious than watching these boys have new experiences and seeing the sheer joy they find in even the simplest things.

When they got tired of the dirt, they hopped on their trikes and we pushed them over to the playground near our house. Stay tuned for those pictures next...
