Friday and Saturday fun
We've had two fun weekends in a row. The Friday before last, our friends Laura, Travis, Charlotte and Gray, who were visiting from Chicago, came over for dinner and some playtime. Ryan grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, and it was so fun having four sweet kiddos at our kitchen table:
After dinner the kids had a blast playing in the sprinkler. And yes, they all own swimsuits, but sometimes (ok, most of the time) diapers are just the way to go:
This next series makes me smile. Reid and Charlotte were in the playhouse together and he kept trying to grab her to give her a hug. She wasn't having any of it, though, and started wagging that finger and telling him to leave her alone:
Three sweet two-year-olds:
On Saturday we went to Honey's for more swimming. Sassy, B, and Colbie were there too, and the boys thought it was hilarious to watch Colbie swim. We stayed outside for what seemed like forever, and then the boys took a three-hour nap. (Thank you and amen.)
After naps, Sassy and B came over to our house to play for a little bit and ended up staying for dinner. We love weekends!

Baby goats, popsicles, and little boy imaginations
It has been a good weekend around the Wolf house. The boys spent yesterday afternoon and last night at Honey's house so Ryan and I could go to my friend Melissa's 40th birthday party at Crystal Beach, and they (and we!) had a great time.
Yesterday they went swimming and then got to play with Scarlett and Sam's new baby goats. Look at these cute kids (all three of them!):
Today we went for a ride in Papaw's UTV (or "tractor," as the boys called it) and they had a BLAST. They were grinning ear-to-ear the entire time, but unfortunately our joyride was cut short thanks to a thunderstorm. Honey came to the rescue with their very first popsicle, though:
We got home and the boys took a FOUR-HOUR nap -- proof that Honey wore them totally out! After naps we went to Lupe Tortilla for dinner and they could not have been more angelic and adorable -- something we don't take for granted in the throes of the Terrible Twos. A quick trip to the grocery store followed, and then it was back home to build block towers (their new favorite thing), read, and watch "Tie-yoo" until bath time.
Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday, too. Just this past week the boys have started getting themselves out of bed (usually around 6:15 a.m... OOF!) and either coming downstairs and into our bedroom or standing on the catwalk looking down at our room and hollering "Mommy! Daddy!" Twice this week, Ryan and I were in our bathroom getting ready when they both came strolling in, blankies and wolves in hand, all sweet and sleepy-eyed.
Anyway, the same thing happened yesterday morning, so we put them both in bed with us and snuggled for a few minutes. Grant got down at one point and wandered off, and a few minutes later he came back into the bedroom wearing this lovely ensemble: his superhero cape and a camouflage cap. The picture on the right is Reid, on the way to Honey's house yesterday afternoon. Being a doctor is serious business, y'all.

First swim of the season
We spent part of Memorial Day at Honey and Big's. The boys and I headed there on Monday morning for the first swim of the year. Two little boys were just a tad excited--this is what they did when we asked if they were ready to get in the pool:
Check out that sweet sunscreen hair:
The water was still pretty chilly, but we waded on in with help from Honey and Morgan.
Grant was more interested in the giant rubber ducky than actually swimming:
Reid blew bubbles and kicked all around the pool with Morgan:
Grant decided to tackle the float all by himself:
Any sadness they might have felt from getting out of the pool was quickly forgotten thanks to some suckers from Honey:
We headed home after naps and spent some time in the sprinkler, which is our new nightly routine.
It was a low-key day, but perfect for us!
