1-year pictures: Reid

The day after the boys' birthday party, we dragged their new chairs from Mimi & Poppy into the front yard and took a few one-year pictures. So as not to have 50+ pictures in one post, I'll do a post for each of them and one for them together.

First up is Reid, who at 1:

• Is wearing mostly 18-24 month clothing (some 12-18 mos), size 4 diapers, and size 5.5W shoes.
• Has eight teeth: 4 on the bottom and 4 on top. (He now has 9, including a back molar, but he just got that one a couple of weeks ago so I'm not including it in his 1-year update.) 
• Sleeps like a champ, from 7 or 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. on weekdays, and lately until around 7 a.m. on weekends (thank you, Lord!) Aside from the stomach bug he had a few months back, I really can't think of a single time we've had to get up with him in the middle of the night since he started sleeping all the way through at 3.5 months.
  
• Loves avocados, applesauce, scrambled eggs and noodles. He eats a lot of other stuff too, but those are definitely the favorites.
• Claps and waves bye-bye. We're working on high-fives and blowing kisses.
• Loves to dance and "sing" any time he hears music.
• Grins and wiggles all around in his high chair when he eats something he loves.
• Loves to walk (and sometimes run!) behind his push toys, and even behind things that aren't officially push toys, like their music table, our living room ottoman, and bar stools.
• Likes to take toys away from his brother but doesn't do a very good job of defending himself when Grant attempts to bite him out of frustration.
• Sucks his thumb when he's tired, shy, or feeling extra cuddly. His sleep sack is still his favorite lovey, but his little blankie that Honey made him is a close second.
• Loves bath time but HATES getting dressed afterward. As soon as he's dressed, he starts reaching for the string to turn off the light on the ceiling fan, something his daddy lets him and his brother take turns doing every night.
• Lives for wagon rides and swinging. 
• Likes Baby Einstein and will stop whatever he's doing to watch the opening music of The Backyardigans and Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. 
• Hates it and gets scared when the dogs bark. 
• Likes to rock himself (and throw his head back for extra impact) on his Rockabye from Aunt Sassy and Uncle B. 
• Has a serious side: he often looks at people with his eyebrows furrowed and a very solemn look on his face.
• Is pure joy!
