Water hose hijinks

Ryan worked in our flower beds for most of the day yesterday, and when all the flowers were planted, the boys got to help him with the watering.

They had so much fun (and got so wet in the process), we decided to strip them down right there in our front yard and let them play in the hose.

That water was COLD, and still they loved it. I mean, LOVED.

Grant was all in from the get-go. He would run up to the hose, stand under it until he couldn't take any more, and then run to me for a little break... with his tongue hanging out pretty much the entire time.

 

It took Reid a little longer to warm up to the idea, but pretty soon he was right in the middle of the fun, too.

I'm pretty sure this rates up there as one of the most fun things they've ever gotten to do.

Their diapers were practically falling off from all the water they'd absorbed, so we moved to the backyard and they went for the full monty in the sprinklers for a while.

But the sprinklers weren't nearly as exciting as a daddy dousing them with a hose, so they lost interest pretty quickly. Grant turned his attention to some driveway streaking, and Reid opted for a little nekkid driving. 

And as if that wasn't enough, they got to wash off in the kitchen sink before dinner. Does a Saturday get any more awesome when you're 14 months old??
