Christmas in Georgia: part 2

I mentioned in my last post that the boys had so much fun exploring Mimi and Poppy's house now that they're mobile. One of their favorite spots was the sun room, and specifically these windows. On Saturday morning they spent a long time just looking out the windows and playing with Mimi's Christmas decorations on the coffee table (along with her magazines).

They have both been obsessed with Christmas trees this month, too. It started out as fear -- they would get really stiff and lean faaaaar away from our trees (big and little) whenever we would carry them past them -- then turned into curiosity, and then pure entertainment. Well, apparently that obsession carried over into house plants for Grant:

On Saturday night, the Gold and Blue families joined us for an early Christmas celebration. I didn't get many pictures, but we were so glad to see them! And sweet Johnny was excited to see Reid and Grant, too -- Katie said he had been asking about them for weeks.

Johnny gave the boys this activity table, which they LOVE... not the least of all because it's delicious:

Johnny was seriously so sweet to the boys. He even let them play with his new Legos! Such a sweet sharer.

It was this same night that Reid discovered his new favorite thing: one of Mimi's Christmas pillows. I guess he loved the texture, because he couldn't seem to get enough of the little knots. He rolled all over the floor snuggling with that dang pillow (and continues to do so with a similar pillow at our house).

Sweet baby. Grant was more interested in playing, and stayed very busy with his toys:

It was a wonderful evening with family and friends-who-feel-like-family.
