Happy 6-month birthday, Brothers!

I can not believe it has been half a year since these boys entered the world and turned our lives upside down. I have loved every single second, but the month between 5 and 6 has been crazy fun: cutting teeth, laughing, sitting up, becoming obsessed with their puppies, eating real (albeit mushy) food, making funny faces, jabbering nonstop, being so fascinated with each other. My heart is so full -- and now so are my eyes.

In the past couple of days, Grant has started sticking out his tongue and Reid has begun grabbing his feet to try to put them in his mouth. (Most of the time his belly gets in the way, though -- we'll blame that trait on his dad.)

Candi asked me if we were celebrating with half of a birthday cake, and I told her we would party hard with pureed carrots and maybe a bottle of wine for Ryan and me for surviving the first six months. In reality, only the carrots made the cut; Ryan and I had takeout and water.

Happy half-birthday, precious boys. Your mommy loves you more than you will ever know.
