Back in business

Soooo... the award for worst blogger of the year goes to... me! But if I've ever had an excuse not to blog, this past month definitely qualifies. I finally wrapped up my huge work project on June 8, and then we had one week to finish packing our house.

As if there wasn't enough going on, we also flew to Colorado on June 15 for Ryan's cousin, Julia's, wedding, and the boys got to meet some very special family members for the first time: Aunt Mary, Uncle Don, cousin Kim, Uncle Bobby, Aunt Rosalba, cousin Julia, cousin Brian, and Great-aunt Anna and -uncle John. Unfortunately my camera battery was dead and my charger was already packed, so I didn't get to take any photos... but luckily Uncle Nolan captured the boys in a few at the wedding.

The plane ride there nearly killed us. It turns out 17-month-olds don't really enjoy being made to sit still for 2.5 hours... who knew? They were SUPER cranky, only sleeping for about 30 minutes, but thankfully there were lots of playmates to help entertain them when we finally got to the house where we were staying. It was a quick trip, but we got to celebrate Poppy's birthday, Father's Day, and Mimi and Poppy's 34th anniversary while we were there, so that was pretty special.

We got home from Colorado on Sunday the 16th, closed on our new house on Monday the 17th, and the movers came on Tuesday the 18th... so needless to say, it has been a whirlwind around here. More to come on the house once we're able to catch our breath...
