Digging it

The Sunday before last we went to Dayton after church and naps because Honey made the boys' (and my) favorite meal: chicken and dumplings. The weather was beautiful so we played outside while she was getting dinner ready.

My mom and Randy had some septic system work done in their backyard recently and had to replant a bunch of grass, so R&G were eager to help Big with some shoveling. Grant went first:

They were so eager to help, in fact, that Reid threw a fit when Brother wouldn't give him the shovel. Big quickly found a broom that seemed to appease him for a little while:

And then Grant wanted the broom, so they switched. This is how life works right now. They always, ALWAYS want what the other one has -- toys, books, cups, blankets. And they barter with each other... one will come up and hand his brother a toy under the guise of being sweet, but really he's just trying to entice him to drop whatever he's playing with so the other one can claim it. They're sheisty, these two!

I've got a couple of other posts I need to crank out over the next few days, so stay tuned!
