Backyard boys

We've been doing everything we can to take advantage of the pretty spring weather, knowing it will be 100 degrees before too long.

These two are going to be awfully sad when we finally plant vegetables and herbs and they can no longer claim the garden as their own personal sand box:

They have also discovered all the weed-flowers in our yard, and you know it melts this mom's heart when they pick one and bring it to me. Reid's the most into it:

But Grant makes time to stop and smell the flowers, too:

These two are really into playing kitchen lately, too. Between their play kitchen upstairs and their playhouse in the backyard, they've been whipping up lots of hot dogs, fries, eggs, sausage, and "femade/menade" (lemonade).

Here they are cooking in the playhouse:

{I think Reid's trying to escape the kitchen in this one}
And here they are serving us hot dogs (and yes, they're wearing their sunglasses backwards on their heads... just like their daddy):

We sure do love these big kids!
