I blame my lack of posting on two primary factors: 1) My sucktastic job, and the fact that I have to work for several hours pretty much every night, and 2) Downton Abbey, which Randi Kay (who is staying with us for a couple of months while she completes her Occupational Therapy clinicals) and I have recently become obsessed with. At any rate, sorry the blog has been quiet!
We had the BEST weekend last weekend, and for the most part we didn't do anything special at all. On Saturday morning we drove down to Sugar Land for Gus's 4th birthday party. It was the boys' first experience at Chuck E. Cheese, and they had the best time playing, dancing (video to come), and eating pizza--they felt like such big kids.
The weather was gorgeous but chilly, so after we got home from the party, we opened the garage doors and let the boys drive their cars around.

Ryan got out some tools to put together a cabinet, and the boys couldn't wait to see what he was doing:
We took the bits out of the drills, and they got right down to business. They took their jobs SO seriously:

They "drilled" for about 20 minutes and when they lost interest, the shop-vac was there to captivate them for awhile longer.

They took turns vacuuming and turning it off and on--5,000 times--and it's safe to say our garage has never been cleaner.

And just in case you doubt how seriously they took their jobs, look:
They even dressed the part--just a couple of saggy inches away from plumber's crack!
They played so hard, and were so sweet, that it pained me to make them take a nap. But that evening there was more fun to be had, with dinner at their favorite restaurant (Cracker Barrel) and a trip to Academy, where they scored some sweet Buzz Lightyear fishing poles.
I'll work on a recap of last Sunday tomorrow, but I need to go to bed because tomorrow is a busy day: we're having another playground play date with some of our twin friends!
